Styles of Yoga

Hatha / Gentle Yoga
A slower paced style, hatha focuses on postures and breath to build strength, flexibility, and endurance.

Hatha Flow
Similar to hatha, hatha flow links breath and movement together to build strength, flexibility, and endurance.

Vinyasa Flow
A faster paced, smooth flowing style, vinyasa flow links breath and movement to build strength, flexibility, and endurance.

Restorative
As a therapeutic style of yoga, restorative yoga cultivates conscious relaxation by relying on gravity and props to relieve physical effort and deepen postures.

Yin
As a slow paced, therapeutic style of yoga, yin focuses on deep stretching ad mindfulness, holding postures for longer periods of time, often using props.

Kids Yoga
A highly beneficial tool, kids yoga focuses on developing strength, stamina, and flexibility, as well as body awareness, mindfulness, and sense of self.

Seniors Yoga
As a gentle and slow paced practice, seniors yoga focuses on postures and practical movements to develop and maintain a healthy range of motion, strength, body awareness, and sense of self.

Mindfulness and Meditation
Meditation involves drawing ones attention to a specific focal point. Mindfulness aims to direct ones attention to the present moment and everything that the present moment has within it (bodily sensations, thoughts, feelings, emotions, etc.) without judgement, to just notice and acknowledge.

Chair Yoga
A newer, more modern style of yoga incorporating stretches and poses designed specifically to perform in a chair to alleviate pain and stiffness caused by sitting for too long, and to relax and rejuvenate the mind.
